Show Juveniles Arrested, Charged Vfith City Market Breakin Three juveniles were arrested arrest-ed Tuesday morning by city police and charged with burglary at City Market early Sunday morning. They are charged with entering the building through an air vent and taking beer. Police Chief Mel Dalton said that a quantity of beer was put into a shopping cart and wheeled under the vent; and that one case of bottled beer had apparently been dropped during an attempt to hoist it up through the vent. Several Bottles had broken. Two accidents were investigated investi-gated by police during the past week. On Aug. 17 at 1:30 a.m. on Walnut Lane, Robert L. Carter was driving a 1970.Ford pickup and hit a utility pole, doing about $600 damage to the vehicle. No citations were issued in the incident. On Aug. 18 at 8:20 p.m. on Main and 1st North, John W. Flippo was driving a 1974 GMC pickup and hit a 1971 Ford driven by Evelyn Halpen. There was about $100 damage to the pickup, and Flippo was cited for improper lookout, causing an accident. Officer Lvnn Izatt arrested Kenneth Wayne Harless and James Edward Harless Aug. 16 at 7:45 p.m., and they were charged with both possession and possession for sale "'of marijuana. r-' t. . i Receptionist Bonnie Springer is but one of the more than 150 people employed by Atlas Minerals, one of the main job sources in Grand County. |
