Show f No Charge r Policy Set for School Lunch '( Beginning Dec. 3, 1973, the (f Grand County School District ( began a no-charge policy for school lunches for students. ( The open charge policy f created several problems in js the past, such as collection of (f past-due accounts, loss of t revenue, excessive bookkeep- ii ing procedures and audit ; concerns. Since the district has f adopted this cash basis policy, t these problems have decreas- & t :-ki.. ed considerably. Students will be required to purchase their lunch tickets on Monday morning. If for some reason the student forgets his money on Monday, he will be given a one-day pass and requested to bring his money the following day. Children from families whose income makes it difficult for them to purchase school lunches may be eligible for free or reduced school lunch. Parents should contact the school principal for free or reduced lunch applications. applicat-ions.
