James Silliman Retired Area Army Officer Takes Legal Positron The new Chief Legal Council for the Defense Contract Administration Services Region (DCSAR) Cleveland, is James E. Silliman Sil-liman , a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel. Mr. Silliman Sil-liman fills a vacancy created creat-ed last September by Mr. Curtis Garner who accepted a position in private industry. indus-try. Mr. Silliman, a native of Green River, Utah, entered the Army Air Corps in 1942. He retired last August after 25. years', service. His last assignment was at Hanseom Field, Bedford, Mass. where he was assistant Staff Judge .Advocate for four years. He also served as Assistant Staff Judge Advocate Ad-vocate at McClellan Air Force Base, California, and Tripoli, Libya, and had o-ther o-ther assignments in Washington. Wash-ington. D. C Nagoya. Japan, Ja-pan, and Amarillo Air Force Base, Texas. Mr. Silliman received his AB degree from Stanford University in 193G. During a break 'in service, 1946 to 1950. he returned to Stanford Stan-ford and earned his IJ-B degree. de-gree. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to returning to active duty he practiced in Green ."River and is a member of the Utah and Massachusetts State Bar.
