Show CLERK ARRESTED TOR R05B1NG HAIL F. R. Rosencrans, general night dark at the Oarfen postofnee, waa arrested at an early hour yestsrday morning on the charge of rifling a registered letter. It ia said that the young man had been dls-oovered dls-oovered In the act of taking a marked at bill from a decoy letter that had been dropped In the office a few hours before. The arrest was made by Pnetofnre In-apectora In-apectora R- B- Nelson, l. E. Bradaow and r. t. Frawley. For some time eomplainta have reached the poatofflre department of money being mlese in registered letters. The government officers worked on the case until they became convinced that the money waa helna stolen at the Ogden office and suanlclon finally felt on Roeen-crana, Roeen-crana, who for the past twn yeare haa heen an employee of the Oeoen of lice. Haturdny night a decoy registered letter ronlainlne- a t bill was mailed at the Ogden office and a careful watch kept. It la claimed that Roaencrane waa mi to tamper with some of the letters, and that when arrested the marked money was found In his poaeeealon. In default of trooo hall the clerk waa turned over to the aherllt of Weber county. |
