Show SENTENCE MILD WHEN PRISONER CONFESSES Phillip Lewi pleaded guilty ta receiving re-ceiving stolen property when a gigaed before Judge J. M. Bowman ia th criminal divisioa of the city court. Deputy Prosecutor John Bowman recommended rec-ommended a sentence of sixty day in the eounty jail, which was imposed. Lewis received a quantity of silverware that had been stolen from a box ear oa tha Short Line. He gave information informa-tion to the officer which resulted ta th recovery of much of the property, and sa a reward for that his sentence was made a light a possible. ' James Burke, who was alleged to have stolen $90.40 from N. C. Powell at the eireu grounds, pleaded aot guilty to a robbery charge. Prelinrin ary hearing was set for June 6, and in default of $500 bond h was cent to th county jail. |
