Manitoba. .Ian 24 The police of St. Boniface, across the river from Winnipeg, were notified ypsterdav that five men. a woman and a baby, all Galieians, had wandered out on the prairie from a stalled train near Star-buck, Star-buck, and undoubtedly had bten frozen to death. One man. the woman and her babe have been found, the adults dead and the infant in a dying condi tion. Although searching parties are out. there is little hope of finding the others alive. Saturday night, when the Gall ciacs left the train, was ope of the coldest of the winter. The thermometer fell to 4 degrees below 7.er., ;it some places. |
