Ladles' Llterarv club, long looked forward to by club women, took place today at noon In the Manltou. The club was formed thirty years ago today, and the toasts and responses all bore upon this event. Mrs. J. C. Royle. first president of the club, was a prominent figure at the breakfast break-fast and much deference was paid hsr. The guests were formally received at the Manltou from 12 to I, those In the receiving re-ceiving line being Mrs. Jonathan C. Royle. Miss Ethel Paul, Mrs. Clesson S. Klnnev and Mrs. W. F. Adams Br; fast wsj) served at 1 o'clock, and over 100 club members and their guests gathered about the board and partook of the elaborate elab-orate refreshments. After the breakfast toasts were given and responded to. Mrs. W. F. Adams, a very prominent club woman, acted as toastmlstress. Mrs. J. C. Royle responded to the toast. A DELIGHTFUL affair was the tea given giv-en yesterday afternoon by Mrs. v imam Icleheart and Mrs. Joel Priest at the Igle-heart Igle-heart home. Over 100 guests called during the afternoon. In the parlors and reception-room vellow jonquils and darro-dils darro-dils gave a springlike atmosphere and the dining-room was charming with tail vases of carnations about the room. The favors were heart-shaped valentines and were given out bv little Marlanna Priest. ' THE VALENTINE dancing party given giv-en last evening by Marre Van Cott Harold Har-old Horlick. Terrell Hoyt. The hall n which the dance was held was uniquely decorated with festoons of hearts on red ribbons and the orchestra was concealed behind a screen covered with strings of hearts. McClellan yesterday afternoon st a recital in the Tabernacle. Prof. McClellan Mc-Clellan was assisted by the Tabernacle choir, with Mrs. I. T. Edwards and Mr. Horace Ensign as soloists.
