Show ALLEGED CATTLE LAW VIOLATIONS Department of Justice Going Go-ing After Railroads Accused Ac-cused of Ignoring Statute Governing Shipping. WASHINGTON, Feb. 15. The Department Depart-ment of Justice Is about to proceed against a number of railroads for violations viola-tions of the law relatlnK to the shipment o? rattle This law provides that cattle shipped in interstate commerce shall not be onf!ned on cars longer than twenty-eijtht twenty-eijtht hours consecutively without their being unloaded for feed, rest and water, evcept in rases where a request is previously pre-viously made, the time may e emended to thlrtv-slx hours In manv rases. It Is alleged, cattle have been confined on rars without rest, food or water for fifty h-irs. and in some rases s!tv hours It is the purpose of the Government to Insist upon full maximum maxi-mum penalty of bf.
