Show PEEBLES SAID TO HAVE BEATEN MAGERL WITH LATTERS PISTOL The bond of J. E. Peebies, who was held to the District court for assault with a deadly weapon and a statutory offense, was ordered forfeited this morning morn-ing by Judge Armstrong and a bench warrant was issued. The action was taken upon the motion of District Attorney At-torney Loofbourow, when Peebles failed to appear in court for arraignment. Peebles is asserted to be a "hearts breaker." His alleged relations with Mrs. Lena Magerl are the cause of the charges against him. It is claimed Magerl Ma-gerl returned home unexpectedly February Febru-ary 26, to find his place in the household house-hold occupied by Peebles. It is asserted as-serted that Peebles took Magerl's revolver re-volver away from him and beat him with it. Peebles is believed to have left the State and jumped his bonds. |
