Show MUSIC CHIEFS I TO OPEN MEET The subject of music will "go 'round and- 'round" on a national scale In Salt Lake City beginning Wednesday, when the board of directors di-rectors of the National Federation of Music Clubs opens its first business busi-ness session at the Hotel Utah at 10:45 a. m. The conference and entertainment entertain-ment will continue through Saturday. Sat-urday. Keynoter will be Mrs. Vincent Vin-cent Hilles Ober of Norfolk. Va national president, who will preside. pre-side. Leading the delegates Into Salt Lake City Tuesday were Mrs. Guy P. Gannett of Cape Elizabeth. Me., vice president of the eastern region, re-gion, and Helen Havener of New York City. Several hundred persons interested inter-ested In music culture will attend the four-day sessions. Mrs. Gannett said many questions ques-tions will be discussed concerning the furtherance of opportunities for American artists and composers and ways and means of developing young musicians with talent. Improvement Im-provement of musical curriculums In schools will be studied. |
