Nov. 23 (UP) Governor Martin 1 Davey defended de-fended his policy of mobilising the national guard in Industrial disputes dis-putes today and challenged the national na-tional labor relations board "to in vade the sovereign power of the state of Ohio." Davey said that fear of the law caused the United Rubber Workers to end a ait-down strike in two plants of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber company. The strike, which closed the plants of the world's largest larg-est tire manufacturer, waa settled when both the union and the company com-pany agreed to accept a tentative proposal submitted by regional officers of-ficers of the labor board. Production Produc-tion at Goodyear was resumed today to-day after a three-day shutdown. "It la Interesting to note." Davey said, "that theaa leaders propose to cite me before the national labor board. Even that CIO affiliate cannot invade the sovereign power of the state of Ohio." I - The U. R.
