Show Federal Board to Meet Here, Study Reclamation Tangles A special commission authorized by congress and appointed by Secretary of the Interior Harold L. Ickea to iron out the tangled affairs af-fairs of many western federal reclamation projects and Indian reservation res-ervation irrigation districts will meet in the state capitol December 23 and 24, Governor Henry H. Blood announced Friday. The commission, consisting of W. R. Wallace, chairman of the Utah water storage commission, and Charles A. Lory and George T. Cochran, Coch-ran, both from other states, was assured in a letter Fiiday from the governor's secretary, N. L. Wilson, that "all facilities" will be placed at Its disposal here. . Many western irrigation and reclamation rec-lamation districts, the governor said, have fallen repeatedly Into arrears in meeting their obligations to the federal government. By a series of hearings and studies, ths commission commis-sion is trying to establish them on a "sound business basis." |
