Show MAY AFFECT) I THOUSANDS NEWARK. N. J May 25. A strike which is likely to affect thousands of employees in the plants of the Edison General Electric company throughout the country is on at the Harrison factory fac-tory of that concern. About .2400 hands are employed there. There are only forty strikers, but tkey are machinists and their absence from their posts has crippled the work of the factory. ' It is thought the strike may extend to the company's Fort Wayne factory, where there are about 600 employees; the Lynn ' plant, which employs 6000 hands, and the main works at Schenectady, Schenec-tady, where the total number of employees em-ployees is about 12,000, and the macbin- i lsts number 2000. i |
