Cox, local secretary of th Y. M. C. A addressed three large meetings yesterday In the "interests of the association. The first meeting addressed was at the Congregational church in the morning, morn-ing, by Mr. Ward, who also addressed a large audience in the Tabernacle at the afternoon service. Mr. Ward waB to have spoken at the Methodist church last night, but being fatigued, delegated Mr. Cox in his place. . . . The talks st an the meetings were descriptive de-scriptive of the benefits that young men of all denominations would receive from affiliation with the T. M. C. A., and of the moral and physical uplifting force exerted by the association, as well a the educational work carried on under it3 auspices. " |
