Show JURY DID NOT AGREE After Ail-night Session in Damage Suit the Judge Dismisses Them. After being out all night, the Jury, In the case of James Thompson against the Oregon Short Line Railroad company, com-pany, which has been on trial before Judge Stewart for several days, came into court Tuesday and announced that they could not agree on a verdict. .They were discharged from further consideration consider-ation of the case. Thompson sued the railway company for $25,000 for personal damages alleged al-leged to have been sustained through being put off a freight train in Montana, Mon-tana, while the same was going at the rate of thirty miles an hour. The defendant de-fendant argued that he-was stealing a ride and that they had a right to eject him from the train. The case was reset re-set for December 6. |
