Show TRAGEDY IN DEATH OF C A PARKER Salt Lake friends of C. A. Parker, vice-president of the Cincinnati, Hamilton Ham-ilton & Dayton and Pere Marquette railroads who fell dead In his office in Cincinnati on Wednesday last, and who, It -Is suspected, committed suicide, sui-cide, regret that his railroad career has terminated in such a cloud. It is believed be-lieved that Parker killed himself to fulfil ful-fil an agreement which he is thought to have made with Miss Ella Gester-ling. Gester-ling. his former stenographer, with whom he is said to have been infatuated. infatu-ated. The latter committed suicide in Chicago several days ago. Correspondence between Parker and the young woman was intercepted by Parker's son, J. H. Parker, who learned in that way that his father was contemplating con-templating an action" for divorce in order or-der that he might marry Miss Gester-ling. Gester-ling. This prayed on the young man's mind It is thought until he killed himself him-self recently in St. Louis. The infatuation of Parker for Miss Gesterling" was well known to many of his friends here. |
