Wilcox. . Mr Wilcox is a brother-in-law of the late Andrew Brixen and Is well known here where he was in business for many years. , . . ' The strike was made on the Tanana, a short distance above St. Michaels. Capt Donovan, Ton Lloyd and John r.oehtol referred to In the letter are all well known in Salt Lake. Speaking of the Salt Lakers now In Dawson 'and of the Tanana strike Mr. Wilcox, pays: "Capt. Donovan has Just got back from his trip. Tom Lloyd has gone to the new strike on the Tanana, Johnnie Bechtol is still here. His son is down in the' Koyu-kuk Koyu-kuk river country. We look for a big camp at the Tanana and many thousands will go. They are leaving here every day in gangs of twenty to fifty with dog teams and some are going with horses. If any cf the Salt Lakers come they should go to Valdcz and hit the trail from there or wait until May and sail from Seattle to ft. Michaels. And from there to Kair-banks.
