Show NON-UNION WORKERS GO OUT ON STRIKE Refuse to Return to "Work Because One of Their Number Is Discharged. PITTSBURG, Pa., March 24. More trouble broke out today In the struc-trual struc-trual iron-workers' strike on the Wabash bridge. The sixteen non-union workmen Imported here by the American Ameri-can Bridge company went on a little strike of their own and refused to go to work when the whistle blew. The cause of this strike is the discharge of one of the crowd by the foreman, James McGulre. An agent for the American Bridge company left today for Philadelphia where he expects to get more men and bring them on here. The union strikers are quiet. They are patrolling the streets in the district, but are not making ma-king any noise. The police are keeping keep-ing a sharp lookout. |
