Show PANIC IN BUILDING DURING FIERCE FIRE PITTSBURG. On the upper floors of the adjoining , building many girls and women were employed em-ployed in the manufacture of clothing, and a panic ensued, but all reached the street in safety. Fireman Daniel H. Jackson and Harry Scheckler were overcome by the smoke and were carried out of the McElveen building unconscious, but It Is thought they will recover. The loss is estimated at $150,000, fully covered by insurance. The origin of the fire is a mystery. |
