Show FAIR NURSES NOW READY FOR DUTY Graduating Class of St. Mark's Training Train-ing School Holds Commencement and Receives Diplomas. The annual commencement exercises of the St. Mark's training school for nurses were held last night at the Ladies' Literary Lit-erary club. The clubhouse was crowded with the friends of the graduates. Bishop Leonard was master of ceremonies cere-monies and Introduced the speakers of the evening. He also delivered an address ad-dress to the class. Other speakers were the Rev. Dr. Paden and Dr. Worthlng-ton. Worthlng-ton. A letter from Mrs. F. B. Hamilton, widow wid-ow of Dr. Hamilton, who was the founder found-er of St. Mark's hospital, was read. Mr?. Hamilton congratulated the graduates and Inclosed a check for the purchase of something some-thing to beautify the nurses' quarters at the hospital. j Bishop Leonard then presented the diplomas di-plomas to the graduates. Miss Mary Mc-Lene, Mc-Lene, Miss Kathryn Maddlson. Salt Lake. The programme which followed the presentation pre-sentation of the diplomas included two selections, "Mrs. Wlnslow's Soothing Syrup" Sy-rup" and "Drink To Me Only With Thine Kyes." by a quartette Including Messrs. Knowles, Abbott, Curtis and Dunbar, rendered ren-dered In fine style; "Popples" and "Laddie," "Lad-die," by Harry Shearman; a violin solo by Mrs. Relmers, and two vocal solos by Mr. Curtis, "If 1 Were King" and "King Charles." Miss Theodosla Harris was the accompanist of the evening. |
