NEW YORK, June 2 Several addresses address-es were made at a performance for the benefit of Kishineff sufferers given last night In a Grand street theater. Bishop Potter, who was among the speakers, said: "However true it may be that there are .things which have happened in the United Unit-ed States which we should regret and against which we protest, there is no doubt that, at Kishineff it was the duty of the Russian Government to maintain law and establish the rights of the weakest, weak-est, s "I am here as one of a great multitude to urge that the maintenance of law and the rights of the weakest are the concern con-cern of all men. We belong to a republic which stands for the rights of the weakest weak-est and justice for all." |
