Interest in Mining The attention of property buyers has been directed toward the mining interests inter-ests for the past two weeks. Stocks have been piling up to enormous prices, which has had a depressing effect ef-fect upon the real estate market. Scarcely a speculative sale has, been made in the past two weeks. "Mining has sent the people wild," declared a real estate dealer yester day. "It is not only here, but all over the country. Boston and 2Cew York are far worse. "Outside capital i3 floodinc the State for mining investments and the mines here will develop with marvelous rapiditv. I am getting a hold on all the propertv that I can and am preparing pre-paring for "the strong market that is bound to come. Time to Say Keal Estate. "My advice to all my clients would be just the same as I am telling you, get into the "game and buy, as real estate es-tate will never again be "at the price it is now. It is showing a healthv advance and is bound to go ahead. Not because I am a real estate man do I say th3t it is an excellent time to buy property, but because I conscientiously con-scientiously ttink that it is the time of all times. "I know of property in the eastern part of the city, within half a block of a street that is about to be improved. As soon as the proposed improvement was mentioned the property was pulled off the market and today the owner would not sell at an advance of 15 per cent." Eve f Great Activity. The general belief among real estate dealers is that the market is on the eve of great activity. There is something some-thing big that is about to make its appearance. ap-pearance. Just what this is, the outsider out-sider has not been let into yet. There is considerable scurrying among the real estate men, petting a line on new properties. It is the general belief that the matter which the real estate agents are so anxiously looking forward to is a large factory which will be larger than any proposed yet. This, it is believed, be-lieved, will add a great impetus to Salt Lake City. |
