Show ORDERS DRINIi f OR HIS HORSE TaKes Animal Into Saloon With Him and Wants WhisKy for T'yo ; Tries to Seize Carriage. INDIANAPOJ4S, Oct. 13. Several persons driving on North Delaware street were made the victims of an intoxicated in-toxicated man who was leading a horse by a rope, and who, before he waa finally final-ly captured by several' friends and taken home in a cab, led the horse into in-to a saloon oa Delaware street near Massachusetts avenue. Staggering under an unusual accumulation accu-mulation of highballs and cocktails, with other complications, the man led the horse up and down North Delaware street, finally entering a barroom with his equine companion. "Horse and me wants a drink," he told the astonished bartender. "Get out" yelled -the bartender, "this is no livery stable." The man made a hasty exit only to try a second time to get the horse into the saloon. About this time he saw Mr. . and Mrs. Frank Reynolds and some friends sitting in a carriage in front of a drug store drinking ice cream soda. Grabbing Mr. Reynolds' hat, he tried to get away with it before be-fore he was caught. A struggle ensued en-sued a few minutes later when Mr. Reynolds started to drive away and the man next devoted his efforts to the occupants of another carriage, two young women and a man. Forcing them to leave the carriage, he tried to take possession, still holding to his horse, but aa instant later the horse jerked loose and ran east on Ohio street. A few minutes later the man was loaded into a cab by some friends and taken home. |
