Show Y. N. C. A SERIES OE ADDRESSES For Season Will Be Opened by Dr. Paden Sunday Afternoon on "Measure of the Public Officer." ' The season 's series of addresses for men at the Y. M. C. A. will begin Sunday Sun-day 1 afternoon!'.. As ' previously 'announced, 'an-nounced, the first three addresses bear closely npon the immediate thought of the city,' the topics being respectively, for tomorrow, "The Function, Use and Abuse of the Political Party," by Dr.-Paden; Dr.-Paden; a week later "The Measure of the Public Officer," by the Rev. Elmer I. Goshen, and the following Sunday Senator George Sutherland will speak on "The Measure of the Private Citizen." Citi-zen." Although all these topics bear upon the mode of political action of the young men of the city, they are in no wise partisan. Although Gov. Cutler is planning to leave for the East tomorrow night, he has yielded to the insistent invitation of the Y." M. O. A. members to preside at their first meeting, and in doing so will make ' some remarks introducing Dr. Paden 's topic. Two groups of association members have been working upon musical organizations. organ-izations. Under the direction of Prof. . a. etzeii, supervisor or music in the public schools, a glee club has been rapidly rounding into shape, which will sing tomorrow afternoon. Prof. Net-tleton Net-tleton has charge. of tho association's orchestra, and will be present at 4:30 for a half-hour cotfeert prior to the meeting, and will lead the music in the auditorium at 5 o'clock. All men are welcome at the association associa-tion building during the entire Sunday afternoon, and particularly at the hour of the address at 5 o 'clock. |
