On complaint of Gus Mitchell, a gypsy, a warrant was sworn out last night for the recovery re-covery of $1000 which Mitchell claimed had been stolen from him by a rival band of gypsies. ' Taking a dozen deputies, all heavily armed, Sheriff Grissom went to the camp and began to search. In the first wagon examined more than $10,000 was found, mostly most-ly in gold. The second wagon contained the richest treasure, treas-ure, $15,000 in gold being found. A certificate of deposit for $25,000, issued by the First National bank of Chicago, was found. . On sixty-four men searched several smaller certificates were found. More than $50,000 .in gold and currency was found in the camp. The officers were amazed at the display of wealth, but were unable to identify Mitchell's alleged loss. Alarmed at the exposure of their riches, the band is camping camp-ing in town and have hired guards to surround their wagons., V A New Piano in Town The Anderson Piano Will, stand any test by any Artist or Manufacturer. To orercome the well-grounded and reasonable objections of the more intelligent intel-ligent to the use of secret, medicinal compounds, com-pounds, Dr. R. V. Pierce, of Buffalo, N. Y., some time ago, decided to make a bold departure from the usual course pursued by the makers of put-up medicines for domestic do-mestic use, and so has published broadcast broad-cast and openly to the whole world, a full and complete list of all the Ingredients entering into the composition of his widely celebrated medicines. Thus he has taken his numerous patrons and patients into his full confidence. Thus too he has removed re-moved his medicines from among secret nostrums of doubtful merits, and mad them Remedies of Known Composttlon. By this bold step Dr. Pierce has shown that his formulas are of such excellence that he is not afraid to subject them to the fullest scrutiny. Not only does the wrapper of erery bottle of Dr. Pierce s Golden Medical Discovery, the 'imou! medicine for weak stomach, torpid liver or biliousness and aU catarrhal diseases wherever located, have printed upon It, in plain Engluh. a full and complete llt of all the Ingredients composing it. but a small book has been compiled from numerous standard medical works, of all the different schools of practice, containing very numerous numer-ous extracts from the writings of leading practitioners of medicine, endorsing tn tfie ttrongeat potsihle term, each and every Ingredient Ingre-dient contained in Dr. Pierce's medicines. One of these little books will be mailed free to any one sending address on postal card or by letter, to Dr. E. V. Pierce, Buffalo. N. and requesting the same. From this little book It will be learned that Dr. Pierce's medicines med-icines contain no alcohol, narcotics, mineral agents or other poisonous or injurious agents and that they are made from native, medlci-lal medlci-lal roots of great value: also that some of he most valuable Ingredients contained In JR Pierce' Favorite Prescription for weak, lervous, over-worked, "run-down," nervous ind debilitated women, were employed, long ears ago, by tha Indians for similar ailments iffecting their squaws. In fact, one of the nost valuable medicinal plants entering nto he composition of Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription Pre-scription was known to the Indians as 'Squaw-Weed."
