OFFICERS ELECTED BY BOWLING LEAGUE The Commercial Bowling league for this season was launched last evening:. The following officers were elected: W. Spanish Fork has the horse racing fever. One of the best half-mile tracks in the State has been completed by the Spanish Fork Race Track association. A three-day meet will be held Octo- ber 26, 26 and 27. The following program will be given giv-en for the purses which have been hung up: Thursday. October 25 2:25 -class, trot and pace, $250, three in five heats; quarter-mile dash, $100; five-eighths mile dash, $125. Friday, October 26 Free for all, trot and pace, $350; three-minute class, Utah horses, $100; quarter-mile dash, $75; half-mile, three in five, $150. On Saturday a special program will be given. In addition to the above races, a special event will be made up each day. A number of Salt Lake horsemen have signified their intention of entering enter-ing for the meeting. NEW GAME WILL BE TRIED AT COLLEGE Next Tuesday, or Founders' day, will be celebrated by the students of the B. Y. U. on the campus beginning at 2:30 o'clock. The new game which Coach Teetzell has invented, which combines rough tactics of football and played on the order of basketball, will be given its first public test.
