Show PROGRESS OF WEST IS ASTONISHING W. S. McChesney, Jr., president of the St. Louis Terminal railway, came In this morning from the Northwest In his. private pri-vate car, accompanied by a party of friends, and registered at the Knutsford. While designed for pleasure of himself and guests, Mr. McChesney was also combining com-bining some business with this Junket, which has Included the entire Northwest country so far as the principal railroad systems extend. He la familiarising himself him-self with the greater expansion of trade and commerce, and remarked to acquaintances ac-quaintances that It is surpassing all contemplation con-templation of the West's possibilities as they were viewed tea eyars ago. He spent considerable time this afternoon after-noon wtih local railway representatives. The party was Intending to start East this evening. |
