Show AN ORDINANCE. An ordinance levying a tax and for the as-. as-. seaament of property on the west side of Post street, between Third South and Fifth South atreeta, in Sidewalk District No. 21, for the construction of a cement sidewalk. -, , Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: 1 Section 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in lots 1 and 28 to 62, inejuaive. Martin's Subdivision, block $8, and in lots 1 and 80 to 56, inclusive, block 9, City Park Subdivision, block 28, plat 'C," 8alt Lake City Survey, abutting on the west side of Post street, between Third South and Fifth Sooth streets, in Sidewalk District No. 21, said property having a front' age of 1872 feet along said street. This tax is levied to defrsy the expense of constructing a cement sidewalk four (4) feet wide and four (4) inches thick upon said portion of said atreet opposite the property hereinafter described 4b be especially affected and benefited by aaid improTement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established '. that the same will be especially - benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and aafd parcels of land are hereby l assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance ac-cordance with the linear foot frontage upon aid portion of said street fronting upon and to depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to . t be assessed upon said parcels of land Is eight hundred ninety-one and 80-100' ($891.80) ! dollars, or 65-190 ($0.65) dollars per front r linear foot, which ia the estimated total oat and estimated cost per linear foot of aaid sidewalk, and the Treasurer is hereby authorised au-thorised and directed to assess in accordance '.' with the provisions of this ordinance for the ( purpose herein mentioned, all of lots 1 and 28 to 52, inclusive, Martin's Subdivision, block 83; and all of lots 1 and 80 to 66, in-elusive, in-elusive, block 9, City Park Subdivision, block ' 28, plat "C," Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of aaid . city to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said street, and to collect said tax. Section 2. Said tax ahall become and be delinquent in six (6) equal installments, as - follows, to-wit : One-sixth thereof shall be-r be-r come and be delinquent one month after the 5 approval of this ordinance; one-sixth thereof ) in one year after snch approval; one-sixth ', thereof in two years after such approval: one-' one-' sixth thereof in three years after such ap-- ap-- proval; one-sixth thereof in four years after r such approval ; ' and one-sixth thereof in five ?ears after such approval. Each and every natallment of said tax except the first, shall draw interest at the rate of six per cent by annum from date of levy until delinquent, and each and every Installment of said tax ahall bear interest at the rate of eight per cent Jer annum from and after its date of de- linqueney. .
