Show MANY KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS AT SALTAIR ! More than 5000 Knights of Pythias) availed themselves- of the outing yes-terday yes-terday at Saltair. Twelve hundred came from Bingham, Tintic, Ogden and Park City. Great interest centered in Sthe athletic events, where competition (as knife-edged. The tug-of-war team ' lit Ogden carried off both first and r.'second prizes. In the shooting contest con-test J. T. Dean of Bingham first, J. L. Larson of Bingham second, and N. A. Harriett of Ogden third. In the shoot for women the three prizes went to Salt Lake women. It is a deplorable fact that the women can beat the men after . the men spend as much time as-they do at the traps.' Mrs. Kate McCarthy, Mrs. J. F. Bturgis and Mrs. S. N. Bah- dolph won first, second and third prizes respectively. The judges of the day ' were Judge Weber, A. E. Payne and E. O. Kidder. . |
