The settlement for November beets will take place December 15. but this will not be large, as fully 75 per cent of the crop is cTelivered in October. More beets were raised daring the season just closing than ever before in the history of beet culture in the -West. The district tributary to the Lehi sugar factory have produced the greatest great-est tonnage of beets of any districts engaged en-gaged in the industry in the two States. Next in order of point jjf tonnage eome the Sugar City factory.. Garland. Idaho Falls, Nampa and Blackioot. The only drawback in the present season was the shortage of ears for the transportation of the beets, but this condition is being alleviated as the season sea-son advances. In many cases the factories fac-tories are accepting deliveries alongside their tracks, thus assuming the responsibility respon-sibility of getting the product to the factories themselves. |
