Show METAL MARKET STRONG. In spite of the fact that the stock markets mar-kets throughout the country have been suffering from the strong effect of the great Liquidations, it is most gratifying to not the healthy condition of the metals met-als and the settling prices that are being made in the open market. Recently silver, sil-ver, copper and lead have attained the highest positions In the market that have been known for years, and from the present pres-ent Indications these prices are sure to prevail throughout the year, while in the case of the red metal the production is far short of the consumption, and the Indications In-dications for a much higher price for this metal are bright. Foreign countries are heavy purchasers for the metals and the dtmand In this country has become so strong that some of the heaviest dealers are forced to cancel orders for copper to be delivered away along in the latter part of the summer months. No one seems to be willing to venture an assertion as to how high some of the metals will soar, and in the meantime the owners of producing mines In the western country are increasing the output to the limit. |
