The United States gunboat Hist left here for the lightship at 3 a.' m. today. The wind is west-northwest and moderate. mod-erate. The eea is subsiding. Hay Keep Her Afloat As the lightship's design includes water-tight compartments Intended, to save her in just such stress as she is now In, the lighthouse officials declare that there will bs little difficulty on the part of her crew in keeping her afloat until aid can' reach her.
