Show OREGON SHORT LINE ! PULLMAN CAR BURNED An alarm of fire was mounded from the Oregon Short Line yards at 7:0S ! o'clock this morning, and when the equipment from station No. 2. and u part of the equipment from No. 1. went to the point indicated, the firemen fire-men saw that a luxurious Pullman sleeping car was in flames. The fire wan caused by an overheated overheat-ed Baker heater in the car. The interior in-terior of the car was badly damaged, and the vestibule of the cars at either end we-e scorched. The car was valued val-ued at $14,000. and the contents at $1000. The damage done to the interior of the car is roughly estimated at $200, ani to the contents. $")U0. |
