Show BUY TROTTERS AT OLD GLORY SALE . Hiss Kinney Brings Highest High-est Price of the Day; . Second Week Ends. TEW YORK.. Nov. 28. -The Old Glory sle of trotting bred horses in Madison Square Garden entered its second week yesterday, -with a total of 113 animals sold on the seventh day for $31,235. The. figures were low compared with those of ttfj early days and pulled .the general jfae of the offering down to $63, the AJeVj0' date having disposed of 777 head - for' a grand total of $360,485. The consignments consign-ments offered yesterday were chiefly in small lots from many different breeders end turfmen. The highest price of the day was $2050, paid ,by R. W. Smith of Newark. N. J., for tlbe fast trotting mare. In the past season she was raced and took a mark of 2:10. in addition to winning several tunes her purchase price. Other horses that attracted comment k were Forest Wilkes, pacer (2:124. sold Vfor $2745, and Bertha K. trotter (2.131. r.eold for IMS. both consigned by J. A. ' Owens. |
