Show MAY PUT BUSS ON THE STAND Will Be Asked to Testify as to Contributions by Insurance Companies. NEW YORK. Nov. 28. Cornelius N. EUss, treasurer of the Republican national nation-al committee, is likely, it is alleged, to be called by the Insurance investigating- committee com-mittee to testify regarding campaign contributions con-tributions by the big companies. The investigating in-vestigating committee has not decided yet just when to call Mr. Bliss, but most of the members are said to feel that he should be asked to tell what moneys he received from Insurance companies. Following Fol-lowing the declaration of Senator Piatt that these contributions were made, the committee has heard from all quarters demands that the question be probed to the bottom. , Mr. Bliss would make no statement last night regarding his receiving money from the insurance companies for the campaign committee or his testifying before the investigators. The investigators will continue their examination of New York Life officials at the morning session. The Mutual Reserve may be taken up in the fternoon. The committee will continue its session until the last Friday in December: De-cember: then it will take a recess for the opening of the Legislature, after which It will return to this city and spend two or three weeks getting the report in shape for presentation about Februarr 1. |
