Show JURY WAS ALLOWED ' TO GO HOME BY COURT For the first tlmfe In several years Judge Marshall allowed a jury to go home for the night before bringing in a verdict. The Jury, after deliberating for three hours yesterday afternoon, was unable to come to an agreement in the case brought by William T. Harris against The Consolidated Mer-cur Mer-cur Gold Mining company for $50,000 damages for alleged personal injuries. The court instructed the Jury the same as usual after sitting all day on a case and the men were allowed to go until this morning. When court convened con-vened this morning the men were again sent to the Juryroom to return, a verdict. The proceeding, although not unusual, is very seldom practiced In the courts. |
