The third annual an-nual convention of the National Citizens Citi-zens Industrial association opened today to-day at the Planters' hotel with 400 delegates dele-gates In attendance, representing local organizations throughout the United States. C. W. Post, president of the national organization. In outlining the objects of the assembly, said: "This Is not, as some would have the public believe, an organization to teur down labor organizations or fight labor. We are not partisans of the employer. Our position is rather that of an intermediary inter-mediary between capital and labor. We want to strengthen both and build them up. "We are Just as much opposed to industrial in-dustrial combinations as we are to a labor trust or any institution thit seeks to corner the labor market. We want labor to feel as independent as capital and vice versa." |
