It consists of eleven athletes under the direction of Everett C. Brown, chairman of the Chicago Athletic com-Tnlttee, com-Tnlttee, and II. M. Butler, trainer. The men are all In excellent condition, better in fact than .was to be expected after bo long a Journey. They will continue, their training for the American Athletic Ath-letic union games at the ; Multonomah club athletic field. - . The men composing the team are J. D. Lightbody, captain; R. A. Lyon, Frank Verner.'E. E. Parry. E. C. Glover, Hugo Friend, J. E. Barker, A. R. Rose, P. O. Roman, Ralph W. Rose, Clyde Blair and J.,N. Patterson. These athletes were picked to make the trip to Portland only after the hardest kind of a try-out. James E. Sullivan, secretary ' and treasurer .of the American Athletic union, in company with the Olympic club track team of San Francisco, has also reached Portland. The Olympic club track team will be under the charge ojt Herbert Hauser, secretary and treasurer of .the Pacific Coast asso-oiation. asso-oiation.
