Show TRAFFIC OFFICIALS , J GATHER AT 'FRISCO SAN FRANCISqO, Aug. 1.-A. conference confer-ence began here yesterday -between the traffic officials of the Harrimanx lines and officers of the San Pedro, Los Angeles A Salt Lake railroad. The - question they discussed Is whether theSouthern Paclnc shall accord to the Salt Lake oad track-aj,re track-aj,re privileges In Los Angeles. The officials who represent the Harrl-man Harrl-man lines are1 William Sproule and G. W. Luce of the Southern Paofflc, J. A. Mun-roe Mun-roe of the Union Paclnc and T. M. Schumacher Schu-macher of the' Oregon Short Line. The men who are opposed to them are J. Ross Clark, vice-president of the Salt Lake road, and E. W. Glllett general freight and passenger agent of the same line, who arrived today from Los Angeles. An-geles. ' In speaking of the. matter Mr. Clark said: "1 hope that the conference will result In something definite, but the result re-sult cannot be foretold." , |
