Richards, former Governor of Wyoming, made the follow- j lng . statement to The Telegram last night: ' . "I have here with me a force of ten experienced clerks from the land office, at Washington. These men are from among the most capable employees in the whoje department force at Washington. Wash-ington. "Two r(egIstration)fflces will be conducted con-ducted here. In order that the crowds my be handled Quickly, and without the loss of a moment's time. These men can register 6000 a day. "This service Is the most elastic thing in the world. If it is necessary. I can Increase my force to any number that I may need. " "I do not calculate to leave any man in this town 'unregistered twenty-four hours after he gets here, if he will do his part. I will register all who are in the city before 6 o'clock each day, unless tbey crowd a train load or two onto me too late in the afternoon. "I have no Idea how many will 'be here. That Is a guess that no one can make with any degree of accuracy, but you may be assured that all who apply will be registered. "There are not enough railroad facilities facili-ties here to Jam me up, if thje trains are not piled In here in the afternoons, too late for the crowds to reasonably expect to be handled. .. :"There are roen here from all parts of Utah, from Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Colo-rado, Montana, and even from so far away-as Ohio and Indiana, but they will all be on the books." |
