They swore revenge re-venge on the next white party that camped on the ground they claimed. Captain Gunnison and his party were slain one morning while at breakfast in camp without warning and their bodies mutilated and strewn along the banks 6f the Sevier river. The rem-nanta rem-nanta left by wolvea were gathered by Mormons sent out by Brlgham Young and burled.
