SILK GARMENTS Haul Is Made From Mayol Store on Broadway A quantity of valuable silk hose and crep ds china garments was stolen from the Mayol Bilk shop oti East llroadwsy, Saturday night or early Hunrtay morning. The burglary waa one of the most daring which has occurred In Pstt lke for a considerable consider-able time. The police are convinced that a woman was Involved In the affair. The burglars first entered the Pembroke Pem-broke More, i'4 Kant Broadway, which adjoins ths Mayol store. The bars of a rear window were forced apart, but only to such a space as would admit a slender woman nr small man. The Intruder, or Intruders then cut a hula through the wall Into the Mayol store, hut found a heavy showcase blocking the entrance. Another hole waa made behind the desk nf PYnnk Mayol and here entrancs waa effected. A discriminating eye was shown In the selection of goods. The police say that there ara evidences that an automobile was used by the burglars In making their escape with the plunder. The mark of, a French heel was found on the roof of the 'em-broke 'em-broke building. |
