Show JAYCEES MAKE PLANS TO CONDUCT CLEANJP DRIVE Bingham Canyon junior chamber cham-ber of commerce members commenced com-menced making plans for the annual Bingham Clean-up campaign cam-paign to be conducted sometime during May. It is planned this year, as in the past, to cooperate with city officials in making the drive a success. President Elmo A. Nelson named the following to serve on the clean-up committee: com-mittee: Dale Johnston, Dan De-laney. De-laney. Warren M. Woodward, Ken Shulsen and Bruce Johnston. Dates for the drive will be announced an-nounced later. The possibility of forming a flying club in Bingham district was discussed by Jaycees Monday Mon-day evening. Clyde Gillam reported re-ported that the army is now releasing re-leasing a few planes to clubs that desire to purchase them. Mr. Gillam, Warren M. Woodward and Elliott W. Evans were named nam-ed on n committee to make an investigation as to the prospects of organizing a club here. Election of Jaycee officers to serve during 1944-45 will be held at the first regular meeting in May. Elliott W. Evans, Joel P. Jensen and Dale Johnston are members of the committee to select se-lect nominees. The nominating committee will also make arrangements ar-rangements for the installation banquet. Leland G. Burress reported that plans are being completed for the entertainment of national and state Jaycee officers in Bingham Bing-ham and Tooele on May 19, just prior to the Utah state. Jaycee convention. Bruce Palmer, national na-tional president from Flint, Mich., will be present. |
