Show LOCAL LIBRARY INVENTORIED BEFOREMOYING On Tuesday Mrs. Louise Critch-low, Critch-low, assistant countv librarian, and Mrs. Ruth Vine Tyler, county coun-ty librarian, were in Bingham to inventory the books at the library li-brary at the City hall and discard dis-card those which will not be moved to the new library quarters quar-ters at 488 Main street about June 1. All volumes which are in irrepairable condition, which do not circulate or were otherwise other-wise considered of no value, were taken from the collection. Mrs. Tyler wrote Mrs. J. Dewey Knudsen, chairman of Minute Women working on the paper salvage, that hundreds of pounds of old books were being taken from the library and also stated: "I have telephoned Mrs. Don Reid, president of the Women's Civic club, since the books were originally under club jurisdiction, and have discussed my intention to not transfer the books to the new library. Will you discuss with her possibility of getting the books allocated to the scrap drive?" Mrs. Hazel Mills, Women's Civic club secretary, said yesterday yester-day that no decision on what is to be done with the magazines and books discarded at the li-. li-. brary can be made until the club meeting on May 4. |
