Show FORUM TALKS PLEASE WOMEN'S CLUBMEMBERS "Problems Facing Youths of America" were considered in panel talks directed by E. Odell Peterson, faculty member of Bingham high school, at Women's Wo-men's Civic club meeting the evening of April 20 at the home of Mrs. C. W. Adderley. Members of the economics and sociology class speaking on delinquency, de-linquency, apathetic attitude towards to-wards school, lack of recreational recreation-al facilities, earning power of young people, effect of neatness of army camps to towns all factors affecting current American Amer-ican problems included Rhea Lou Olsen Wilcox, Harry English, Eng-lish, Melba Ottosen, Mary Goris, Mary Lou Lyon, Beverly Anderson, Ander-son, Vida Rae Poulsen, Robert Poulsen, Stella Stringer, Betty Lou Houghton and Audrey Groves. Grov-es. An invitation to the Copperton Community club's candlelight tea and program to be held Monday, May 8, was extended all members mem-bers of the Women's Civic club. Dr. Calvin Smith, rehabilitation rehabilita-tion director at the Veteran's hospital discussed the "Future of Today's Youth", subdividing his topic into three divisions: (1) condition of youth problems prior pri-or to war; (2) factors affecting youth; (3) how we may meet these problems in the future. Delightful refreshments were served by Mrs. Adderley, Mrs. Ed W. Johnson and Mrs. Daisie Bogart. O |
