Show SERGEANT ERNEST SHEENMISSING Sergeant Ernest J. Sheen, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sheen of 442 West Fifth South, Provo, formerly of Bingham Canyon, has been missing in action over Truk since March 30. He was born June 17, 1922, in Salem, Utah, the son of Ernest and Sophia Louisa Law Sheen. He attended grade school here and graduated from Bingham high school, where he played basketball, baseball and football, in May, 1940. He was employed by Utah Copper Cop-per company and enlisted in the air corps October 27, 1942. He graduated from the U. S. army air forces technical school as fighter aircraft armorer and received re-ceived his wings February 6, 1943. He received training at Buckley field, Colo.; Meridian, Miss., Mountain Home. Ida., and Wendovcr, Utah. He completed training at March field, Calif., January, 1944. Ernie's brother. Seaman 2!C Glen Lamar Sheen, is with the U. S. coast guard in the South Pacific. II is five sisters are Ella Fay and Ila May Sheen, Provo; Mrs. Melba Stepan, Midvale; Mrs. Gam Dunsdon, Lehi, and Mrs. Edna Hogan, West Jordan. |
