Show (Paragraphs Otj (Interest ... j Mr. and Mrs. Mark Law have just returned from' a month's vacation va-cation trip to the Hawaiian Islands, Is-lands, where they visited their son Howard Law and wife and two daughters. Howard, who is employed em-ployed with the farm administration, administra-tion, came to the States for a conference con-ference in Portland, Ore.; and was met in San Francisco by his parents par-ents who accompanied him. back to the islands. Mr. and Mrs. Law had 1 an especially enjoyable trip visiting all the islands by plane as well as by boat as well as many other places of interest. They also had a delightful visit with their son and family who are living at Honolulu. Mrs. F. E. Huish arrived in Springville this weekfrom Berkeley, Berke-ley, Calif., to attend the 50th wedding anniversary of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Bird on Monday. She plans to be here about a week. Robert Weight spent the past few days hunting in Wanrhodes and visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Weight. He is employed em-ployed by the Utah Construction Co., as structural engineer on the Davis dam project in Davis Dam, Nev. Elwood Barrett of Colton, Calif. ;s Johnnie Barrett of San Bernardino, Bernar-dino, Calif., and Vernon Barrett of San Diego, Calif., visited in Springville this week. They came to Utah because of the serious illness ill-ness of their father, George Barrett, Bar-rett, who died at a Provo hospital Friday. , j Dr. C. A. King, accompanied by his father-in-law, George Williamson William-son of American Fork, has spent the ' past week on business at Unionville, Mo., where they ' also visited relatives and friends. . ' Mrs. Arvil Bird has been released re-leased from the Utah Valley hospital, hos-pital, where she was confined nearly two weeks, following a heart attack. She is convalescing at the home of a sister-in-law, Mrs. Clara B. Averett. Mrs. Ora Rowland and Mrs. Martin Crandall spent the weekend week-end in Salt Lake City, where they attended a birthday party for Mrs. Jordan Pederson, the former Louise Lou-ise Crandall, also L. D. Crandall of Satt-NLake City. Mrs. Lewis Clegg left Friday to spend a few days with relatives and friends in Salt Lake City. She accompanied her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Richardson, who had been visiting visit-ing here, on their return to Ogden. . Mrs. Sarah Dalton and her son Howard Dalton, have just returned return-ed from a three weeks' visit at the home of their son and brother, broth-er, Vernon Dalton and wife at Seattle, Wash. While in the Northwest, North-west, they visited many places of interest, taking a trip into Canada Can-ada and also going to Portland, Oregon, and other cities. Howard just recently returned from Guam, where he had spent the past year with a construction company. What is becoming in behavior is honorable, and what is honorable is becoming. Cicero. |
