In the following selected industries, indus-tries, a breakdown was: GENERAL GENER-AL MOTORS, 23,829,854 man-days and $145,986,206 in wages lost. It is estimated each worker would have to work 453 weeks to make up lost pay. STEEL, 8,973,282 man-days lost and a total wage loss of $79,-854,882. $79,-854,882. The strike lasted a month and involved 413,313 workers. |
