Show MRS. ROOSEVELT GETS VOTE OF U. S- WOMEN Eleanor Roosevelt is the woman most admired by American women, wo-men, according to the latest monthly opinion poll conducted by the Woman's Home Companion, and announced in the magazine. The nation-wide poll lists ten prominent women in different, fields and includes the only two American women delegates to the United Nations General Assembly Mrs. Roosevelt and Helen Gaha- gan Douglas. Most admired because she is "courageous and humane," Mrs. Roosevelt won top place by a large majority of votes, many of which, however, included qualifying remarks re-marks indicating that although the women do not agree with her opinions, opin-ions, they admire her notwithstanding. notwith-standing. Sister Elizabeth Kenny, Australian, is the only outsider on the list, "adopted" by American women in an overwhelming vote giving her third place "because of what she has done for the children chil-dren of this nation."
