Show Reasons Given For Egg Boost In 1945 Principal reasons for the recent increase in the national goal for egg production in 1945 are increased in-creased requirements for dried eggs for Supreme Headquarters, Allied Expeditionary Forces and larger estimated consumption by civilians this year. The goal was increased to 4,350 million dozen eggs from the 3,920 million dozen suggested earlier, which is still a net reduction of about nine per cent from the heavy 1944 production produc-tion which resulted in "surplus" problems in many areas. |
